Is a pancake.

I just thought you all might want to know that.  Nothing else to say, just spreading that around.

Counter Culture Idea (what else is new) Feb. 18th, 2006 @ 03:21 am
so i had two epiphanies today, and neither of them were about spelling, so don't ask.

They weren't so much grand, as they were "hey, i actually understand this, like... i FEEL it, not just know it, but its in me.

the first one, which happened later, but i am going to type first so i don't forget is... "Time is Endless. Resources are not." Which is true, and therefore, people who push push push, because there is not enough time are full of bullshit. I mean, seriously, When was the last time the world was going to end because there wasn't enough time?

Now, abuse of resources... heh, thats another subject. In our haste to advance, we forgot to be thoughtful of that infinite time ahead of us, and we were dominated by the urge to "see how far we could go."

This shortsighted behavior, although possibly in the moment has led us catastophicly astray. I have no doubt it is all a part of the plan, but its there for a reason, and once people understand it, we can move forward. See, this ties into the next issue that i was going to bring up as well.

In fact, the next issue is the heart and soul of everything i believe if i had to build a model for life. The major play of people today is to use this model only one or two layers deep.

In fact, i often times do so myself. But here it is,

NEED- there is a problem, or a "missing" in life, something that has never been right, or has been caused to be destroyed, and never replaced.

OPPERTUNITY- the chance to escape from this need by filling it with a temporary solution, or the ability to fill it or somehow ignore it's pressence.

JUSTIFICATION- an irrational (and always irrational- i'll let you know later as to why its irrational) process of thought or irrational idea that causes the actions done in the oppertunity phase to seem "right"

This is, in fact even the root of the "signpost" idea.

For example, let take one we all know...

Alot of people become vegetarians or vegans when confronted with the health hazards of eating animal products, or the abuse inflicted upon animals due to the nature of the industry, or because of the convincing biology of the human body which rather clearly defines the Human as a primarily "herbivour" animal.

So, in this, the signpost is... TA-DA: the facts about eating animals.

And where does this point to?

Lets look at this one closely.

First, lets start with diversity. This will all make sense latter, so hold with me. There are over 6 billion people on this planet, all with different genetic schemas. And is there any one good diagram for what our innards look like? There is a general idea of the texture, the size, the location given other body parts, so on and so forth, which alot of surgeons use to assume they know what they are doing. I'm sure it takes alot of training to know an appendix from a liver. However, there is no close definition of what the human digestive system looks like. Alot of people are born with near "smooth" intestines- ones that are generally meant for high potein, high fat diets, in other words, primarily carnevorous. Othere people - the middle of the road - have very ridge'd intestines, meant for small ammounts of animal products, and large ammounts of vegetables, and fruits. And Yet other people are even stranger, with stomaches that tie themselves in knots, and can't digest food at all, and some people have even more ridges than the normal, and meats and fatty foods get stuck, and rot, causing cancers, ulcers, and a plethora of other diseases.

However, the main point here (not to loose sight) is that: The individual ALWAYS varries more than the norm. So some people are different. Good.

Next, We verify that there is a NEED with my signpost here. What is the need? Well, thats difficult, so lets work backwards...

The justification people use, is A. Hunger, so they eat; B. I can eat whatever the hell i want, and this tastes good; C. I've always eaten like this; D. I eat the way i do because i was raised this way; E. I've got issues, and i don't want to face them, so i bury myself in food so i can't think.

I think thats enough for now...

No, wait, it isn't

F. I eat like this because i want to be healthy; G. I eat like this because i can't stand animals suffering; H. I eat like this because its what god has made me for, or what god has made the animals for, or whatever the hell else, but its all god's fault.

You see, alot of people forget that not caring what goes into my mouth, or your mouth, or whomever's mouth is essencially Evil, or Wrong. But then with the same token, causing an issue with food, whether by intentionally "not caring" or "ignoring the facts" OR by being "hyper critical" or "controlling" IS STILL CAUSING AN ISSUE. Period. Being anal about food one way or another is, in essence irrational, because it defeats any purpose to do so. If it is for health, then by being anal, i shall die by denying myself food, and causing undue stress. If it is for the animals wellbeing, then i shall be suffering myself to not eat any of the food that others have given to me, or i shall be making others suffer by only providing them with this "good" food (remember that some people are carnevorous by nature, by biology- additionally alot of people have issues of their own, and i would be causing their issues to flare by placing my issues on them with the food i provide) or i shall be suffering because my body requires some of what animals provide, and i find it difficult to find other sources of these nutrients (i know my body craves cheese, i don't know why, but it does...maybe the protein? or calcium? I don't know).

And if i ignore the signpost, (ignore the facts about my food) then i shall be doomed to be held to them for the rest of my life. There is no way out. Or is there?

That there was covering the "justification," and the oppertunity is simple for this one. Just go to the store, all the options are there, people can pick whatever food is available, and most of the time the perfect food is available, but the justification is always there to keep them eating the same things over and over... wich brings about the point that the body gest used to foods it see alot, and doesn't absorb nutrients as well from them... its all about diversity here.

So that being the case... i think it is easy to see that there is a NEED for heathy balanced diets. A NEED for listening to what the body is saying... i mean how many people eat so much hot sauce that their ass is raw the next day? How many people eat so much sweets that they get ill? How many people drink so much that they get drunk... on a regular basis...

Also, there is a NEED for consideration of animals. The industry is the way it is today because of the HIGH demand from the market for meat. I don't suggest vegetarianism to anyone, and definitely not veganism, unless YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR BODY NEEDS. So in essence, eating meat doesn't "support" the industry as it is, but eating meat 3 meals a day as a main course does. Its all a matter of abuse. Also, because animals DO suffer, and DO die for people (myself included) to eat their products, then what I do is offer a prayer (or try my god damn hardest to remember to) whenever i eat ANY food. I mean, the rice farmers and grain farmers and fruit farmers all do alot of work too, ya know. ^_^

So i don't know if that covers it or not... i think i want to restate then that the point of signposts is to give direction, but i know if i am at a signpost now if i keep telling people the same stuff over and over... like "dude, meat is bad for you, and animals suffer." Its a signpost, and not the end goal, and eventually all of this will (i'm sure of it) become a signpost, and maybe even (weird as it sounds) signposts will become a signpost... somehow...

Anyways, getting it together in a cohesive format, finally, and thank god for people being patient enough with my to not lynch me while i find the right words.

Enjoy this one, and remember to not take anything personally, as this is all me, for me, about me, with the idea of me in mind, and, hey, if someone else finds it useful, my ego would love that, so i'm posting it. We all need some escape sometimes ^_^

PS I almost forgot something important... actualy, i did, and i'm editing now... but hey, whatever, just semantics here...

So i got this from meijers, because in their training thing there was this whole "loss prevention" thing. Or, in otherwords, preventing theft. And the main thing (as it occured to me) that society promotes (as well as meijers) is that people can only prevent the oppertunity to arise, or irrationalize the justification for doing something that would temporarily "fill a need."

So, like drugs, TEMPORARILY provides the satisfaction to the need to feel in the moment. Therefore, society has this huge ad campaigne (i know its fucking spelled wrong, i don't need to be told... god, i'm letting brian's nerosis rub off on me...) going on that parents can be the anti-drug by either talking to their kids more often (making the justification irrational) or by either keeping tabs on their children/ or putting them into extra-curriculars. In other words, taking away the oppertunity by stuffing the kids' time so full of other stuff that there isn't a chance in hell.

Also, sex temporarily provides the need to feel wanted, or loved (So society tells us this is wrong, and sex only works in marriage, and people should be ashamed of sexuality, blah blah, blah... just all anit-justifications, or making justifications irrational...) Which is never really dealt with because people don't find out why they need to feel wanted, or why they need to be loved, and fill the needs with realistic, non-temporal fixes. Instead people get into relationships, have sex, and feel pretty empty (or pretty full of themselves, as the case may be- depending on their level of honesty, the people who are less honest, who have huge egos, tend to feel full of themselves, where as the honest people tend to feel like shit afterwards, and question why they just had sex, and if the other person really loves them). But if the love comes from within a person, and not from an outside source, then sex then becomes... less of an escape from reality, and how shitty life is because the issues aren't faced, and more of a deep sharing of love from one side to another, not a desiring of another person's love, but a giving of love.

Or, there is also the ever popular "need for children." Children fill people's time and life soo much that they forget about their own issues, untill their chilren have left the house (at which point they have most undoubtabbly given their issues to their children as well) and their issues come flooding back... then the marriage falls apart... and the family finds out that they never loved each other anyways, and the children were just an escape, blah blah-blah blah-blah....

so, anyways... thats just that ^_^

Basiclly, as i state again, it all has to come from within, and dealing with all the issues that i have will lead me to not use things as coverups, but to give from within what i have to share. The whole point is to not be caught up in all the signposts, and see them, then walk past... but i think at the moment i'm having difficulty with some of them because i haven't really understood what they are actually saying.

Its kinda like reading "I shot the elephant in my pajamas"

I can't tell who is wearing the pajamas.

Misrepresentation Feb. 15th, 2006 @ 09:46 pm
So i feel i misrepresented myself in a discussion to Ruby and Roger last night, and i really wanted (after the fact) to clairify some things, but they weren't around.

So i'm feeling kinda empty about that.

Other than that, not much going on on this side of the world.

Intersex people Feb. 13th, 2006 @ 12:50 am
Read about Intersex people at:

http://www.isna.org/

The surgeries ruin the lives of those who receive it, and otherwise cause more internal trauma than can ethically be proved necessary. Additionally, it is done in the very few months after birth, so the child has no choice, and it is usually done because the parents are uncomfortable with their child being an intersexual.

People who are intersex are generally not protected by laws. Legally, an employer can fire a person for being Intersex, and Legally, an intersex person is not entitled to be allowed to marriage.

Communism Feb. 13th, 2006 @ 12:00 am
Whats wrong with being a communist? Personally, i don't think it really matters, since government and politics is solely based upon taking power from people and abusing it.

I mean, why the hell would anyone want war, or implements of war, unless they are seriously screwed up in the head?

Oh, right, to defend against war, except the nations with the greatest militaries' in the world (The USA, China, Britain, USSR), have always been quick to be involved in conflicts that don't concern them (at least directly)

Does anyone remember the cold war, and vietnam, and korean war, what about WWII and WWI, or what about the imperialistic settlement of the world by european nations? (lets not even start to get into the recent wars...)

I'm not saying good didn't come from these. Which maybe there was good and maybe their wasn't... But what i am saying, is that the more military might a country has, GENERALLY, the more that country likes to flex that military might.

So, without a government who will protect the people? Or, wait, who will have to protect the people from what?

Well, i guess there wouldn't be much to protect people from... OH RIGHT, corporations. Those big monsters that aren't *technically* countries, but hey, the have the GNP of countries, and sign economic deals like countries, and WAIT, governments even TREAT them like they ARE countries.

Right, and what do corporations do? Oh, they take power from people and abuse it in the name of "making things better for people"

Since when do corporations make thing better for people?

As far as i know, things haven't gotten "better" since the industrial revolution. Actually... i think they have gotten far more complex. And if i remember right, the more complex a society becomes, the higher the dissatisfaction of the general civilian. And the higher the suicide rate. Look at japan for an example.

So, corporations don't exactly make things "better," even though they do *sometimes* make things easier, even alot easier.

So get rid of the governments... no more corporations... and ... all thats left is thugs and organized crime.

What is causing this? Well, to tell the truth here, "crime" tends to happen when people are 1. Raised in shitty families (abusive sexually, physically, mentally, etc.); 2. Oppressed -usually by, hey, governments, religion (ouch), guilds (trusts, corporations, etc.); 3. Acted against with crime.

So that raises another good point here... Religion... generally becomes, yep, oppressive government (look no further than the Middle East [with their jihad] and the Catholic Church [with screwed up oppressed and sexually frustrated priests, and the crusades])

But more back to the subject... TRUE communism tends to errrmmm... well... is SUPPOSE to dissolve after the initial problems are defeated... which are corporations, government greed, crime, shitty family structures, etc., etc.

So that leaves... wow... communism to not be such a bad thing because the intent is to get rid of all these things people see as problems... No more oppression, which lowers crime (although i don't know of a single communist country that has ever come close to achieving this) to a locally manageable scale. No massive control of some over-government or over-corporation source (no more over-lords). Everything is completely local, and self sustaining.

So... my quick analysis of communism is that i would pat you on the back and say "good for you" if you were a communist.
